A record price has been achieved for a James Bleecker print.
High Line and IAC Building, print number 1/10, brought $8,500 at auction in New York City. This photograph inaugurates the artist's new High Line series, to be introduced at the Allen Sheppard Gallery in November 2008 (see listing, above). The 60-inch print is destined for a private collection.
Tuxedo Park, The Historic Houses (2006 Black Dome Press) features over two hundred original photographs by James Bleecker. This sumptuously produced book reveals, for the first time, a private enclave of some eighty superb Gilded Age estates located forty miles northwest of Manhattan.
